CloseAbout SMS text alerts

Our SMS service means you can receive details of the latest properties the minute they're placed on s1homes wherever you are.

You're in control. You decide exactly what type of properties you want to be alerted about and set limits on how many alerts you get each week. You can change your settings at any time.

Our SMS alerts cost 10p-12p each. This is the lowest available rate in the UK and only covers the cost of sending each message - we do not intend to make a profit from this service.

Each alert includes brief property details plus a link to our mobile site. Follow the link for a complete listing including contact details and photographs where appropriate.

We take your security seriously. Before sending you any billed messages we send you a free 'confirmation code'. This code must be entered on the site to prove you have access to the phone. That way nobody else will be able to sign you up for SMS alerts you didn't ask for.

If you have any questions about our service please contact servicedesk@s1homes.com

CloseAbout RSS feeds

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It's a really easy way to get instant alerts straight to your desktop, and doesn't require access to your email account.

Why is it a good idea for me?
We now provide access to your stored searches via RSS as well as the traditional email format. Whereas email alerts are sent at most once per day, RSS feeds are constantly updated throughout the day - you'll find out about new properties within minutes of them being advertised.

Fantastic! How do I get it?
If you're able to install software yourself and there's not an IT department stopping you, then it's really simple! Select a 'news reader' from our recommended software list and install one of them following their instructions. If you're using the Firefox browser, you've already got an RSS reader built in!

A superb “B” listed family house with a separate Coach House and beautiful gardens.

Dunfermline Station 5 miles, Dollar 9 miles, Stirling 18 miles, Edinburgh City Centre 20 miles,
Perth 32 miles.

Carnock House dates from the early/mid 19th century and has been extended and altered over the years to create the house that can be seen today. The house is of harled stone construction beneath a slate roof and has attractive astragalled windows.

Internally the accommodation comprises well proportioned bright rooms many of which have an outlook across the garden.

In the drawing room the bay window has a door with access to a west facing patio area. The house has many period features with panelled doors, dado rails and cornicing. The layout of the rooms makes it an ideal family home with ample room to spread throughout the house.

The bedrooms on the first floor are a good size and one of the rooms, currently a sitting room, has a gas fire. The large kitchen area comprises a breakfast room, kitchen and laundry and could be remodelled to form one large room if required.

To the west of the house a beautiful garden comprises lawns flanked by flower beds, herbaceous borders and mature trees. To the north is a sheltered seating area below a Scots Pine tree. To the east of the house is a sheltered kitchen garden with raised beds.

The Coach House:
The Coach House lies across a courtyard from the back of the house and has been partially converted to provide additional accommodation to the house. The ground floor comprises store, garage, garden store/ workshop and a hallway with a staircase rising to a wonderful large games room/office.

Carnock House is situated on the edge of the village and is approached through stone gate pillars. The village has always attracted people looking to live in a rural village while at the same time having good communication links to Scotland’s major cities.

Dunfermline centre lies about 5 miles to the east and has a wide range of shopping, cultural, leisure and recreational opportunities. Dunfermline has a train station with regular services to Edinburgh and a range of professional services.

Carnock has a primary school with secondary schooling at Dunfermline. Dollar Academy (9 miles) is extremely popular and there is a wide selection of private schools in Edinburgh.

Carnock House is well situated for access to the west with the A985 connecting to the Kincardine Bridge and the M9 motorway. To the east the A985 connects to the M90 motorway. Edinburgh Airport (18 miles) has flights to a number of UK, European and International destinations.

In terms of activities there are golf courses at Crossford, Cairneyhill, Saline, Dunfermline, Kinross, Muckhart and the renowned Gleneagles is about 20 miles to the north. Trout fishing is available in the nearby lochs and reservoirs including the world famous Loch Leven. The Ochil and Cleish Hills provide walking and trekking opportunities in addition to the surrounding countryside.

Directions:
From Dunfermline take the A907 west. On reaching Carnock continue through the village and the drive to Carnock House is on the right adjacent to Bonhard Road.
