The Scottish Property Centre are delighted to offer this fantastic modern 3-4 bedroom villa to the market located on the banks of the Clyde Estuary with direct shore access, a truly stunning location with outstanding views down the water.
The property was built in the mid-eighties in the idyllic village of Toward which is the most southern tip of the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll with the sea to the front of the property and fields and woods to the rear. Ullinish is the second property in a line of mixed styles of properties known locally as Millionaire Row. The property comprises of; Lounge to the front overlooking the garden and sea with patio doors leading out to the raised patio, Kitchen/Diner, Dining Room/Bedroom 4, Shower Room, Utility Room, 2 Store rooms, and on the upper floor is Bedroom 1 with balcony, 2 further bedrooms, bathroom and upper hall/study. The property benefits from having a large garage which would accommodate 2 estate cars or could be used as a large workshop. There is parking for several vehicles to the rear of Ullinish. There is the potential of having a mooring license in place for approximately £1400.
A regular bus service runs from Toward to Dunoon and there are plenty of coastal/hill walks in the area. The local post office/store is approximately 2 miles along the coastal road in Innellan and 2 pub/restaurants with excellent food. The bustling west coast town of Dunoon is about 6.5 miles to the north. Dunoon is the main town of the Cowal Peninsula and has a complete range of shopping, leisure and professional services. The town has a good range of welcoming pubs and restaurants, a theatre, cinema, swimming pool and leisure centre.
In Dunoon there are both the Argyll Ferries and Western Ferries terminals from where there are frequent passenger and vehicular sailings across to Gourock. Holiday makers to Cowal experience the feeling of apparent mainland detachment created by the pleasant short ferry crossing. It is also possible to drive to Glasgow via Loch Lomond which takes a little longer but is via some of the most famous and breath-taking countryside in western Scotland.
Dunoon is the gateway to the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and it has some of the most dramatic and picturesque scenery in the west of Scotland. As with most parts of Scotland one is never too far from a golf course and Dunoon is no exception the district having three challenging courses. The expanding Holy Loch Marina is nearby with its berthing and associated chandlery services, an excellent base from which to sail and explore the world famous lower Clyde and Kyles of Bute inland sea lochs and waterways and Toward sailing club is around a mile from the property. Sea fishing is available on the Firth of Clyde and it is possible to fish for salmon and sea trout by permit on some of the rivers and lochs of the district. The area is renowned for its spectacular scenery and wildlife, there are near endless walks, hill climbs and quiet country roads offering wonderful rambling and cycling country. Travel Directions From the Western Ferries terminal at Hunters Quay turn left on the A815 and proceed in a southerly direction through Kirn and Dunoon.
