Blairvadach House was designed by the architect J T Rochead in around 1850 for Sir James Anderson, Lord Provost of Glasgow (1848-51). The building itself is a Category B Listed Building and it was originally listed in 1980.
The building was originally designed as a Scots Baronial house with a square keep however a number of more modern extensions have been added to the rear over the years.
