Location
Park Crescent is situated in a popular residential area of Newtown St Boswells. Travelling into the village from the north, take the second turning on your right into Sprouston Road and Park Crescent is the first turning on your left. No. 2 is the first house on the left hand side of the road, almost opposite its junction with Park Avenue on the right. The house has a southwesterly aspect to the front.

Newtown St Boswells is a popular central Borders village with a good range of amenities including shops, primary school, inns, church, Doctor‘s surgery and auction mart. More extensive amenities are found in nearby Melrose and secondary schooling is in the highly regarded Earlston High School. The surrounding countryside is noted for its scenic beauty and there are numerous fine walks from Newtown St Boswells including walks to the nearby River Tweed and the Eildon Hills. The St. Cuthberts Way long distance walk from Melrose to Lindisfarne passes through the village.

The fine central location of Newtown St Boswells is one of the reasons why it was chosen as the site for Scottish Borders Council‘s headquarters. In addition to having a central location the A68, which provides good vehicular access both north to Edinburgh and south to the northeast of England, by-passes the village. Newtown St Boswells has good road links with the main Borders towns. The new Borders Railway has staions at Tweedbank and Galashiels being the closest.
