CCL are delighted to offer for sale this beautiful property, which has been sympathetically renovated to retain all the charm of the original mill and incorporating many original features in the design. The property offers spacious family accommodation on three floors, with a gravel driveway providing ample private parking. An ideal family home with all the benefits of country living, but only a few minutes to the centre of Elgin.
Built around 1830 by Moray Estates, Pittendreich Mill is a property of historical interest. Originally a meal, flour and barley mill, water from the Black Burn turned the mill wheel which in turn operated the mill-stone. Oats were first thoroughly dried over a huge kiln and then milled to make oat-meal. The mill lade was closed off in the early 1900s when the power source converted to oil and later to electricity and it continued to operate as a working mill until 1972.
