    Fife is a council area in Scotland, a peninsula situated on the East Coast between the Firth of Tay and the Firth of Forth.

    Fife is Scotland's third largest local authority area by population, one third of that population live in its three principle towns of Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline and Glenrothes.     Almost all traffic into Fife passes over one of the three bridges, the Forth Road Bridge, the Kincardine Bridge or the Tay Bridge.
