New build: Pick up a picnic in Bonnyrig
The five-bedroom Culdearn provides plenty of space for family living

TO mark National Picnic Week, Walker Group is offering outdoor dining sets with every Culdearn housetype at Hopefield Park in Bonnyrigg.

The retro-style hampers come with everything needed for an al fresco lunch for two and the offer is available for new reservations of the five-bedroom home during the celebration – June 11 to 19.

Sandy Casey, Director Walker Group, said: "Picnicking is a fantastic British summer tradition whether in the back garden, at a sporting event, music festival or on the beach. With many experts predicting a heatwave this summer, it looks like there will be lots of opportunities to get outside and enjoy the weather.

"There is so much beautiful countryside to explore around Bonnyrigg, we thought a picnic basket would be a useful gift for buyers of the lovely Culdearn housetype."

A substantial five bedroom property, the Culdearn has a large reception hall with doors leading to an airy lounge, a separate family room, a formal dining room and a large kitchen with dining area. The ground floor also features a downstairs cloakroom and a utility room.

Upstairs are the bedrooms – two of which have their own en-suites – and a family bathroom. This beautifully designed home is priced from £394,000.

Hopefield Park will feature 51 two, three, four and five bedroom family homes when complete. Prices for homes start from £270,000 for the four bedroom Kidston, with the Oakleigh costing from £390,000.

Designed to be among their greenest homes yet, the properties have high performance insulation, double-glazing and energy-efficient heating systems. All homes are built to a high specification with fitted wardrobes, fridge freezers and excellent storage.

Buyers can see the very high standard of finishes available at Hopefield Park by visiting the new Oakleigh showhome designed by Carol Yates and John Amabile. The showhome is open from Thursday to Monday from 11am to 5.30pm.

Bonnyrigg’s town centre, with its avenue of trees, has a selection of local stores including a chemist, bank and post office. A Tesco supermarket is a short drive away and larger high street stores are available at Straiton Retail Park.
