CloseAbout SMS text alerts
Our SMS service means you can receive details of the latest properties the minute they're placed on s1homes wherever you are.
You're in control. You decide exactly what type of properties you want to be alerted about and set limits on how many alerts you get each week. You can change your settings at any time.
Our SMS alerts cost 10p-12p each. This is the lowest available rate in the UK and only covers the cost of sending each message - we do not intend to make a profit from this service.
Each alert includes brief property details plus a link to our mobile site. Follow the link for a complete listing including contact details and photographs where appropriate.
We take your security seriously. Before sending you any billed messages we send you a free 'confirmation code'. This code must be entered on the site to prove you have access to the phone. That way nobody else will be able to sign you up for SMS alerts you didn't ask for.
If you have any questions about our service please contact servicedesk@s1homes.com
CloseAbout RSS feeds
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It's a really easy way to get instant alerts straight to your desktop, and doesn't require access to your email account.
Why is it a good idea for me?
We now provide access to your stored searches via RSS as well as the traditional email format. Whereas email alerts are sent at most once per day, RSS feeds are constantly updated throughout the day - you'll find out about new properties within minutes of them being advertised.
Fantastic! How do I get it?
If you're able to install software yourself and there's not an IT department stopping you, then it's really simple! Select a 'news reader' from our recommended software list and install one of them following their instructions. If you're using the Firefox browser, you've already got an RSS reader built in!
CloseAbout iGoogle
Get the latest results for your s1homes searches on your iGoogle page with the s1homes iGoogle widget.
How does it work?
The widget remembers your saved searches on s1homes and displays the most recent properties as soon as you've opened up your iGoogle page.
How do I add my widget?
Make sure you are signed in to your Google account, run a search, and then select to receive the alerts "on iGoogle - instantly". If you've never used the widget before you will be prompted to add it to iGoogle. After that all your alerts will appear in the widget on your iGoogle page.
If you have already added the s1homes widget to your iGoogle page, then just click the "on iGoogle - instantly" alert after running a search. Any new alerts you create will be added automatically.
If you already have alerts set up and want to add the widget, or you have accidently removed it, then you can install the widget by pressing the Google button abovein the alerts section of your account.

Behind the attractive façade of this stone built detached house is a very contemporary 21st century home. Including architect designed programmable lighting, original doors and architraves, and a fabulous glass rear extension; this home is finished to exacting standards throughout. The ground floor provides the main living space combining high specification technology with period features such as restored shutters and moulded skirting. The lounge, dining room and kitchen all feature oak floors, which create a sense of space and flow. The bespoke kitchen also features composite surfaces and Bosch and Stoves integrated appliances. Away from the main living space, a snug creates a cosy escape from the rest of the house. There is also a large bedroom, with access to the garden (ideal for use as a studio or office), and a beautifully presented bathroom on the ground floor. On the first floor there are two suites flooded with natural light from south facing sash windows. Both feature built-in wardrobes and stunning en suite shower rooms. The first floor is completed by a bright, fourth bedroom. Externally, the garden has been afforded as much time and attention as the interior design. A raised deck separates the 'Zen' garden and it's dramatic water feature from the more traditional lawn and summerhouse. Another benefit is access to the Duddingston Village communal gardens including the lochside tranquillity of Dr. Neills garden, which is only moments away.
GARDEN
Raised deck with path to lawn, Zen garden with architect designed water feature, extensive ground and flood lighting, summerhouse and further decked area. There is also a smart front garden with wrought iron railing.
COUNCIL TAX BAND G
Duddingston Village is one of Edinburgh's premier addresses, thanks to it's unique combination of a genuine village atmosphere and a location ideal for access to the city centre. The picturesque surroundings of the village include delightful views across Duddingston Loch and on the opposite side, the southern flank of Arthur's Seat. The local village pub, The Sheep Heid Inn, is Scotland's oldest surviving public house and provides good food and a traditional skittle alley. As well as the open spaces of Arthur's Seat and Holyrood Park, there are a good range of golf courses nearby including Prestonfield and Duddingston. The Cameron Toll shopping centre is just a short drive away through the park, as are the thriving areas of Newington and Bruntsfield. Excellent road connections also provide rapid links to the city bypass and A1, which in turn give good links to the motorway network and Edinburgh Airport.
