CloseAbout SMS text alerts

Our SMS service means you can receive details of the latest properties the minute they're placed on s1homes wherever you are.

You're in control. You decide exactly what type of properties you want to be alerted about and set limits on how many alerts you get each week. You can change your settings at any time.

Our SMS alerts cost 10p-12p each. This is the lowest available rate in the UK and only covers the cost of sending each message - we do not intend to make a profit from this service.

Each alert includes brief property details plus a link to our mobile site. Follow the link for a complete listing including contact details and photographs where appropriate.

We take your security seriously. Before sending you any billed messages we send you a free 'confirmation code'. This code must be entered on the site to prove you have access to the phone. That way nobody else will be able to sign you up for SMS alerts you didn't ask for.

If you have any questions about our service please contact servicedesk@s1homes.com

CloseAbout RSS feeds

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It's a really easy way to get instant alerts straight to your desktop, and doesn't require access to your email account.

Why is it a good idea for me?
We now provide access to your stored searches via RSS as well as the traditional email format. Whereas email alerts are sent at most once per day, RSS feeds are constantly updated throughout the day - you'll find out about new properties within minutes of them being advertised.

Fantastic! How do I get it?
If you're able to install software yourself and there's not an IT department stopping you, then it's really simple! Select a 'news reader' from our recommended software list and install one of them following their instructions. If you're using the Firefox browser, you've already got an RSS reader built in!

Situation
St Donan is situated on the south of the Isle of Arran in the village of Kildonan. The property is south facing and benefits from stunning seascape views which overlook the islands of Pladda and Ailsa Craig.

Kildonan is a very attractive village with a sandy beach, camp site and a hotel.

St. Donan is 5 miles from Whiting Bay with shops, pubs, restaurants and other amenities including a primary school, village hall, garages, golf course, bowling and putting greens. Four miles further on is Lamlash with a secondary school, hospital, police, fire and coastguard stations and sheltered mooring facilities in Lamlash Bay.

The main ferry port at Brodick (13 miles) has a selection of shops including two markets and leisure facilities at Auchrannie including swimming pools, a sports hall and spa. There is also an 18-hole golf course, primary school, banks and hotels. Brodick Castle sits 2 miles to the north and over looks Brodick Bay.

Other interesting places on the island include the brewery at Claddach, the distillery at Lochranza, the Balmichael Tourist centre at Shiskine and Arran Provisions factory in Lamlash. Also at Claddach is Arran Aromatics soap, candle and perfume factory. At the south end of the island at Kilmory, is the creamery - home of the famous Arran cheese - although this is now being challenged by
cheese factories at Claddach and Kilpatrick.

Arran offers some of the most spectacular hill-walking facilities in Scotland and its seven golf courses ensure tourists and locals alike are well provided with excellent golf. For those with an interest in horses, there is an equestrian centre at Blackwaterfoot on the west coast of the island, and a trekking centre at Sannox. A sailing club can be found in Lamlash and Brodick has an outdoor activity centre centrally based on the main road.

The island offers, by prior arrangement, opportunities to shoot pheasant and also red deer stalking as well as some very good fresh water and sea fishing.
