Following the A841, the island's main road through Lamlash, the site can be accessed via a gated entrance on the west side of the plot just after the Monamore bridge.

This substantial site is located on the edge of the popular village of Lamlash which boasts many facilities including a supermarket and post office, medical centre, hotels, restaurants, pubs, cafes, a variety of shops, hairdressers, a garage and petrol station. The village is also home to the island's cottage hospital, dental practice, council offices, police, coastguard and lifeboat stations. Lamlash benefits from its own Early Years nursery and primary school and the island's only high school. As well as the popular 18-hole golf course there is a bowling green, tennis courts and boating &watersport facilities in the bay. The site is located close to the Dyemill forestry trails which are popular with walkers, mountain bikers and horse riders. The neighbouring village of Whiting Bay is less than 3 miles from the site and also has a golf course, a fabulous Art Gallery as well as an excellent selection of shops and restaurants.
