CloseAbout SMS text alerts

Our SMS service means you can receive details of the latest properties the minute they're placed on s1homes wherever you are.

You're in control. You decide exactly what type of properties you want to be alerted about and set limits on how many alerts you get each week. You can change your settings at any time.

Our SMS alerts cost 10p-12p each. This is the lowest available rate in the UK and only covers the cost of sending each message - we do not intend to make a profit from this service.

Each alert includes brief property details plus a link to our mobile site. Follow the link for a complete listing including contact details and photographs where appropriate.

We take your security seriously. Before sending you any billed messages we send you a free 'confirmation code'. This code must be entered on the site to prove you have access to the phone. That way nobody else will be able to sign you up for SMS alerts you didn't ask for.

If you have any questions about our service please contact servicedesk@s1homes.com

CloseAbout RSS feeds

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It's a really easy way to get instant alerts straight to your desktop, and doesn't require access to your email account.

Why is it a good idea for me?
We now provide access to your stored searches via RSS as well as the traditional email format. Whereas email alerts are sent at most once per day, RSS feeds are constantly updated throughout the day - you'll find out about new properties within minutes of them being advertised.

Fantastic! How do I get it?
If you're able to install software yourself and there's not an IT department stopping you, then it's really simple! Select a 'news reader' from our recommended software list and install one of them following their instructions. If you're using the Firefox browser, you've already got an RSS reader built in!

Log Cabin
Sitting room/dining room Kitchen 2 Bedrooms Bathroom.

Drumuillie Croft
Approximately 13 acres of amenity ground.

Burnside House, log cabin and Drumuillie Croft is a very rare package within the Cairngorm National Park of flexible family or commercial property with an outstanding area of natural heath and woodland. The property has, in the past, been used as a bed and breakfast establishment and the log cabin has provided very useful letting income throughout the summer and winter season.

Burnside House
An attractive cottage which was entirely rebuilt around 1980 from the remains of a former croft house on the site.

The property has a harled exterior under a tiled roof and has an integral double garage.

The property lies adjacent to the A95 and is approached through a metal gate on a gravel driveway which ends in a sweep around the house and to the log cabin. The whole property sits on decrofted land and has lovely views south-east towards the Cairngorms.

Burnside House has a glazed entrance porch which leads into a hall with a separate cloakroom. There is attractive pine flooring throughout and the sitting room has an open fire with stone surround and a back boiler to assist central heating. The dining room has wonderful views to the hills. Detailed planning permission has been granted for the construction of a sun room off the sitting room.

The kitchen has ceramic flooring and an oil fired Rayburn which serves the hot water, the central heating and the cooking. The kitchen units have beech block tops and there is an integrated electric oven, hob and extractor fan and a fridge and dishwasher.

On the first floor there is a master bedroom with an ensuite shower room, 2 further bedrooms and a family bathroom with a separate shower. The upper rooms have secondary glazing over the double glazed units.

Log Cabin
Constructed in 2002 out of solid logs, this fully insulated cabin makes an ideal annex to the main house or can be let separately on a self-catering basis. The property has a shingle roof and double-glazing.

Description
Accommodation comprises a sitting/dining room with a fully fitted kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Patio door lead on to surround decking which, again, has lovely views over the hills.

Drumuillie Croft
To the west of Burnside House is a lovely area of natural owner-occupied crofting ground. The ground has many native species of hardwoods and conifers including birch, rowan and scots pine and is carpeted in heather and bog myrtle.

There is a resident population of roe deer and many wild birds and red squirrels.

The property has great potential and with the necessary planning consents and a new access a separate house could be built amongst the trees. There is scope to increase the garden to Burnside House and improve the woodland habitat or drain some of the ground to provide grazing for stock. A small burn runs through the property which could be extended to provide a duck/trout pond. The ground qualifies for crofting grants.
