The Eastgate Theatre provides musical and theatrical entertainment for all ages plus classes and a café. During summer, the Beltane Festival sees the town come to life with all sorts of festivities. Meanwhile Glentress is one of the 7 stanes world class mountain bike venues, bringing the Tweedlove Festival to the area annually. School pupils will travel to Peebles High School by school bus following Primary School education at Broughton Primary School. Pupils may choose to travel to Edinburgh to private school and many of these schools offer transport to outlying areas, including West Linton.
