Fife is a council area in Scotland, a peninsula situated on the East Coast between the Firth of Tay and the Firth of Forth.
Fife is Scotland's third largest local authority area by population, one third of that population live in its three principle towns of Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline and Glenrothes. St Andrews, Dalgety Bay, Rosyth, Methil and Cowdenbeath are also sizeable towns in Fife but there are many smaller towns and villages including Cupar, Inverkeithing, Lochgelly and Anstruther.
