Paisley is around 7 miles to the west of Glasgow and is the biggest town in Renfrewshire.

Most of the houses in Paisley are situated in suburbs outwith the town centre where you will find many different styles of house dating from the Victorian and Edwardian eras. Castlehead primarily contains Victorian villas while in Thornly Park you'll find Art Deco and mock Tudor style houses.

Historically, weaving, textiles and shipbuilding were the main industries in the town, however very little remains. The public sector is now a significant employer in the area with education, healthcare and policing headquarters located in the town providing public sector jobs.

Glasgow International Airport, Scotland's largest airport, sits on the edge of Paisley and on the M8 which is the motorway running along the top of Paisley and connecting the town to Glasgow and Greenock.
