About Ayrshire South

South Ayrshire, on the west coast of Scotland, is a rural picturesque region which extends from Troon in the North to almost as far as Stranraer in the South. Its coastline provides some of the world's most famous golf courses including Royal Troon, Turnberry and Prestwick. The main town is Ayr which has excellent rail and road links to Glasgow and Scotland's premier racecourse. Nearby is Prestwick Airport.
