Situation:

Carbost is home of the Talisker Distillery and central to the Cuillin mountains.  There are large sandy beaches, forests and walks of varying degrees of difficulty all within a 5 minute drive.   There is a very good modern medical centre, small shop and post office all within 200 metres.   A primary school is also close at hand. Carbost has the use of the old Talisker pier for yachts and ships to berth, which is being upgraded this year. The local Community Council are also sourcing funds to put in place a large public floating pontoon to hold half a dozen 40ft yachts.
