NO other style of property can rival the luxury and sheer glamour of a penthouse. The king and queen of all show homes, the penthouse is always a favourite with developers because it demands attention like no other apartment can.

At Miller Homes’ Lancefield Quay site the company has launched two new show flats – one of which is a three-bedroom penthouse. The other apartment is a two-bedroom duplex. They both join the existing five show apartments at the development creating a “show village”.

Joanne Casey, sales director with Miller Homes, said: “By providing clients with the opportunity to view seven show apartments we are giving them the chance to see the range and flexibility of the homes on offer.”

Located on the corner of Lancefield Quay and Finnieston Street, the development is a joint venture by Miller Homes Limited (Scotland West) and CALA Homes. The show village is within the final phase at Lancefield Quay and it is evident Miller Homes has pulled out all the stops with the flawless interior design of the latest additions.

The three-bedroom penthouse apartment is truly inspiring, where colours of red, cream and oyster accent the rooms. The ground floor is home to the lounge, which displays a vibrant, scarlet sofa with matching oval shaped footstool and circular red rug. The two hessian covered armchairs and natural wood flooring harmonise this room, where natural light floods in from the floor-to ceiling patio doors that open on to the balcony.

There are three bedrooms in this level of the property. The master bedroom, complete with en-suite shower, has a very grand feel. The kingsized bed is enveloped within a brown leather frame and headboard, and flanked by a red silk bedspread. There is also a large leather-framed mirror and two black bedside lamps, which create a very dramatic look against the white walls. This room also enjoys the luxury of its own balcony, accessed via the full-length patio doors. The main bathroom and utility room complete this level of the penthouse.

On the upper floor are the remaining two bedrooms, which boast their own full-length balconies. Both rooms use a mix of soft creams, cool linens and pale oyster in the furnishings, creating the ideal haven for rest and relaxation.

This is also where the living area is found, a space suited both for day-to-day living and entertaining. A modern, red corner sofa with cream cushions dominates the lounge area. Floor-to-ceiling patio doors have been left completely unadorned, allowing viewers to take in the breathtaking vista from the balcony over the cityscape.

The dining area also enjoys an outlook over the river and surrounding city skyline. Adjacent to the lounge is a beautifully presented and fully fitted designer kitchen, complete with glass and beech units, and chic, stainless steel Siemens appliances.

Prices on the final release of properties at Lancefield Quay start from £144,000 for a one bedroom property and from £504,000 for a duplex penthouse on the top floor. For further information call 0141 248 9280 or go to www.lancefieldquay.net.
