Kirkcaldy is a seaside Town known for its diverse range of shopping and cultural facilities. It is home to a Museum, an Art Gallery as well as the renowned Adam Smith Theatre. The site has potential for a number of uses including residential and the majority of the site is currently identified as white land within the Mid Fife Area Local Plan. Forth Park Hospital is situated within the town boundary of Kirkcaldy under the control of Fife Council.
