Living in Kirkcaldy
For many, the key draw has got to be the links to Edinburgh. Kirkcaldy is on the main East Coast line and the train takes around 50 minutes to Edinburgh Waverley. If you need to travel to Perth, that'll take you about 40 minutes and it takes between 35-45 minutes to get to Dundee. St Andrews is also around 45 minutes away by train.
All in all, it's a well-connected place to live. Be wary that the bridge can get busy, though, if you're travelling by car.
Aside from being convenient, Kirkcaldy is a great place to spend your time outside of work. Indeed, many people in more rural parts of the Fife area come here for entertainment and socialising.
There's a swimming pool, art gallery, theatre, three public parks (Beveridge Park, Ravenscraig Park and Dunnikier Park) and much more.
