Scots actor John Hannah has waved an emotional farewell to his childhood home in East Kilbride, and shared his emotions on social media.
The 53-year-old star, best known for his moving rendition of W.H. Auden’s poem Stop All The Clocks in Four Weddings and a Funeral star reminisced about growing up in the Chalmers Drive home, and posted a selfie of his visit.
The Scottish actor, whose toolmaker father died last year has spoken about his 84-year-old mother Susan being in a care home suffering from dementia.
Hannah, who now lives in London, wrote: “So that’s goodbye Chalmers Dr. I was born in that house!”
The actor, grew up in the house with his sisters Joan and Elizabeth.
