Scots actor John Hannah bids farewell to his East Kilbride home on social media

Scots actor John Hannah has waved an emotional farewell to his childhood home in East Kilbride, and shared his emotions on social media.

Hannah1The 53-year-old star, best known for his moving rendition of W.H. Auden’s poem Stop All The Clocks in Four Weddings and a Funeral star reminisced about growing up in the Chalmers Drive home, and posted a selfie of his visit.

The Scottish actor, whose toolmaker father died last year has spoken about his 84-year-old mother Susan being in a care home suffering from dementia.

Hannah, who now lives in London, wrote: “So that’s goodbye Chalmers Dr. I was born in that house!”

The actor, grew up in the house with his sisters Joan and Elizabeth.
